Beauty of Love

This is about love. It shows how beautiful it is. It also shows how painful it is to lose someone you love. But the title only says the "Beauty of Love" because I do believe that love does not hurt. It is the rejection that hurts, it is the waiting that hurts, it is the losing that hurts. So, why blame love? Love is the only thing that covers up all the pain.

Time flies so fast... It's been 3 years since your open-heart surgery. God knows how much hope we had in our hearts on that day. We fully believed you would come out of the operating room alive. We patiently waited from 7 am until lunch before the announcement was made, "You are stable for now". We waited for 2 days while you're in the Surgical ICU, we only had the chance to see you a few minutes from the glass in the ICU's door. Sitting just right outside the door, I can hear you calling "mama".

It was June 2, 2017.... everything's clear to us. If we don't fight, we will lose you. If we will, we can still lose but there is a little ray of hope that you might survive. We prayed for guidance and the answer is "Yes to surgery". Everything was laid like a pathway, from different doctors to see up to where we should get enough funds. Those were the clues given by Him, that we may continue the fight.

Right from the beginning, you were a miracle baby. We prayed to have you (not to mention those negative pregnancy tests before we finally got a positive one). How blessed we are to have you and your little sister in our lives. Every morning, you always pray "God, thank you for another day" and that touches the deepest part of my heart. I know, I have a good daughter.

People knew you are fine already, the PDA and VSD have long been cured during the surgery. Little did they know that you are still fighting from aortic regurgitation and still under monitoring by the pedia-cardio. That's why we can't let you play around and have visitors, even our closest relatives, while in this pandemic.

Just hang in there my little heart! Everything will be alright!

I am writing this so that when you grow up you will know how much you have endured. So as long as there is life, you must fight.
We love you ate Zyna!
